GOVERNANCE
To ensure the participation of the different members that make up the Origens Brasil® network, we created a governance system of territorial committees, a company committee, a management council and an administrator council. Each territory where the network operates has a territorial committee.
THE GOVERNANCE OF THE Origens Brasil®
TERRITORIAL COMMITTEES:
Territorial committees are spaces for debate and consultation on issues related to each territory within the Origens Brasil® network.
They are formed by institutions and members that operate in the territories
They supervise and monitor the implementation of Origens Brasil® in the territories in a constructive way
They propose ways to improve and optimize the operations, discussing territorial expansion and other sensitive issues
A space for updating and discussing matters of production, partnerships and marketing within the network
It is also a space for conflict resolution
COMPANY COMMITTEES:
Company committee is a space for debate and consultation on matters related to the roles of the companies within the Origens Brasil® network.

Consultative committee
They discuss relevant matters and strategies involving the corporate sector’s role in the standing forest economy and ways to improve the system
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE:
The management committee is a space for developing and improving the Origens Brasil® network.
Composed by the people and institutions that created Origens Brasil® or that add contributions to system and thematic specialists
Deliberative
Responsible for supervision of general rules, development, operation, and ongoing evaluation of the system to ensure credibility and improvement
They discuss relevant themes and strategies directed at advancing the network
ADMINISTRATOR:
This is the executive secretariat of the Origens Brasil® network.
Executive institution
Directly responsible for the administration and operation of the network
Governance liaison
Responsible for creating and maintaining the technological and procedural instruments needed to ensure the operation of Origens Brasil®
GOVERNANCE MEETING:
The network meets periodically for the governance meeting, also known as the “meeting of the Origens Brasil® network”, in which members, partners, supporters and governance groups come together to create alignment, reflect and make collective contributions to the network’s objectives.
The “Meeting” offers the opportunity to exchange knowledges and to build new relations among network members, which may further generate new possibilities for partnerships and business/trade. It is also a moment for celebrating and recognizing all the network’s achievements from the past year, promoting the cultures and knowledge of peoples who safeguard the living Amazon.
