Almofada Kayapó
Kayapó Pillow A pillow made from sustainable fabric, hand-painted by Kayapó artisans. The patterns created by Kayapó women, whether on their bodies or canvases, are called 'ôk'. Kayapó artists develop these patterns by capturing and reinventing elements of their cosmology, such as animals and plants, with each work reflecting both collective knowledge and the individual creativity of the person who produced it. Traditionally painted on the body, Kayapó women have started to apply their art to fabric as an alternative source of income and to promote Indigenous art.
