Coopaiter Craft
Handicrafts that reflect the history and culture of the Paiter Suruí people. The craftwomen of the Paiter Suruí people produce a variety of items that transmit the ancestral knowledge of their people from generation to generation. They produce bio-jewellery, basketry, ceramics, and textile products such as baby slings and hammocks. COOPAITER is an Indigenous cooperative that presents itself as an alternative for the development of the Paiter Suruí people,in harmony with the preservation of the dignity of their “true people,” their traditions, and the forest, while peacefully and constructively integrating with broader society for the benefit of the Amazon’s sustainability. The cooperative increases the income of its members' income by selling their products.
