BANIWA JIQUITAIA PEPPER SAUCE WITH AÇAÍ
A combination of Amazon flavors with the spicy and aromatic Baniwa Indigenous Pepper and the unique flavor of açaí. Baniwa Jiquitaia Pepper is a product of the Traditional Agricultural System of the Rio Negro (AM), recognized as Brazilian cultural heritage by the National Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage (Iphan). Jiquitaia peppers are an exclusive mixture of dozens of different varieties of peppers from the Capsicum spp* genus, traditionally grown by Baniwa women in pepper fields and gardens. The production of Baniwa Jiquitaia Pepper is now an important source of income and an opportunity for empowerment for Baniwa women, who are the protagonists of the entire production process.
