ASSÎSÎ PEPPER
The production of Assîsî Indigenous pepper is a traditional activity carried out by Indigenous women from different ethnic groups in the Trombetas-Mapuera and Nhamundá Mapuera Indigenous Lands in northern Pará, in the Amazon. All the traditional knowledge involved in the production processes resides with the women, making them essential for the management of the species and ensuring the continuation of traditional knowledge in the villages.
